Zulema N. George, the creative designer behind Anavaa Kisasa LLC was born in Kingstown, St. Vincent. Anavaa Kisasa, which means “she dresses in fashion” in Swahili, is a fashion accessory line specializing in women’s handbags,was founded in 2004 when this Brooklyn native became tired of purchasing handbags that she knew she could create herself. “Adding my sense of style to an array of the finest leathers, I started creating funky, versatile bags that any woman would love. My handbags are custom made and personally handcrafted. I use leathers in a variety of colors adding a touch of personality to each handbag with a special detail.

Zulema always had a flair for fashion and knew what looked good, but she didn’t become interested in being a designer until 1995 when she returned to New York after attending Howard University to take a job in the fashion/retail industry. This sparked her interest in clothing and accessory design. Though her collegiate degrees are in the sciences, Zulema’s true passion is design. Her studies, at the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City, has only heightened her interests and fueled her creativity and desire to share her vision with the world.

In Store in Brown She has a unique eye for fashion and a knack for making everything that     (In store in Brown) she touches beautiful. No two bags are alike. I use leathers in a variety of colors adding a touch of personality to each handbag with a special detail. My customers are guaranteed unique and stylish handbags that compliment any outfit.

Moon & Lola Jewelry

Sammy’s Place introduces Moon & Lola jewelry exclusively to our Buckhead location……….

Pharmacist turned Jewelry designer, Kelly Shatat is now showcasing her love for fashion and jewelry with her Moon & Lola Collection. After passing time shopping in a store that sold gemstones and jewelry, she bought

a few pieces only to take them home and fall in love with jewelry making. Two years later, several necklaces, and a pair of earrings the femininity of Moon & Lola launched on the fashion scene.

Moon & Lola was birth out of nicknames Kelly & her best friend used in college. The first piece to deem Moon & Lola as a household name was the creation of her pearl beads with a ribbon tie. Since then you can see Moon & Lola grace the pages of InStyle Magazine, OK Magazine and Lucky Magazine monthly.

Moon & Lola’s latest designs capture a classic lady-like feel with a high fashion appeal.

Cotton Pickin’ Naturals Textile Design is the brain child of Karrimah Muhammad. The name is tribute to the southern cotton pickers, whose labor was the foundation for the textile industry as we know it today. Karrimah’s designs are simple but elegant examples of her creativity and eye for style. Karrimah brings to her clients 20 years of experience as a designer. Most recently branching into the interior design and personal accessories market.

Karrimah is a professional fabric designer, surface designer and businesswoman. She creates original designs, home products and personal accessories for individuals as well as creates surface designs for the mass market. Her work shows impeccable style and unique taste.

Stop in and see Karrimah’s latest handbags from her spring/summer line which includes clutches,shoppers and midsized handbags made from organic fabrics like raw silk, silk, linen, and her most recently designed piece from the Nettle plant.
